Situated on a wide bay on the South coast of Lefkas, Vassiliki is the second largest holiday resort on the Island.
Vasiliki is a charming fishing port situated in the lush south side of Lefkada (Lefkas) Island. Vassiliki is one of the finest summer resorts on the island, famous for its long pebbly beach, clean waters and excellent wind conditions that make it ideal for windsurfers. In Vassiliki, visitors can find a variety of hotels, apartments, studios and rooms for rent, as well as taverns, restaurants, cafes and bars. From Vassiliki, visitors can catch a boat for the islands of Ithaki and Kefalonia and Lefkada’s other famous beaches.
Beaches – Vassiliki beach is mainly pebble with some shingle, and is gently shelving. From the village you can also walk Southwards along the coastal path to the hamlet of Ponti (an excellent choice for walking).

Lefkada is the island of the Ionian sea with the easiest access as it is connected to the mainland of Greece with a causeway. The access by road has made Lefkada quite popular for mainlanders but also foreigners. The island is dotted with hotels and restaurants not only near the coastline but also in villages up in the mountains. The aquamarine colour of the sea in Lefkada has also spread its fame for having some of the best beaches in the Mediterranian.
Lefkada is mountainous with dense pine forests but also has many olive groves and vineyards. It has several spectacular beaches with Porto Katsiki being the most famous as it is continuously present in the list of the top rated beaches of the world. Vasiliki is also another famous place as it is the windsurfing capital. Nidri is a quaint fishing village in the daytime and hosts the intense nightlife after sunset.
